There are those over the internet as well as in ads and in magazines who claim that they teach or know Fu Jow Pai Kung Fu (origionally known as Hark Fu Moon). However there are few who truly posses this knowledge. Grand Master Wai Hong taught many students, but gave only a few the rights to teach. We do not wish to question the legitamacy of other schools or instructors, but we strongly advise caution to those looking for training in authentic Fu Jow Pai Kung Fu. Unauthorized teachers may have insufficient experience, an incomplete understanding of Fu Jow Pai technique, or both. Accordingly, their students are likely to learn incomplete and improper technique or worse, injure or endanger themselves. We write this to inform those who do not know Fu Jow Pai history; not all claimed Fu Jow Pai teachers are authorized to teach by the founders of the art - recieving time-tested and authentic instruction depends on selecting an experienced and authorised instructor.
We at Kwan's Kung Fu strongly advise future practitioners to research the schools and teachers they are considering learning from for their own saftey.
